A Water Restoration Technician (WRT) / Applied Structural Drying (ASD) Technician at PuroClean of Ocean Springs performs emergency water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and equipment setup, requiring IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD preferred) and 1+ years of experience. The role involves operating industrial equipment, documenting moisture levels, and providing top-tier customer service in a physically demanding, on-call environment. 
Key Responsibilities
    •    Emergency Mitigation: Respond to water damage calls, extract water, and remove damaged materials (drywall, carpet, padding).
    •    Drying & Monitoring: Set up/monitor dehumidifiers and air movers; perform daily moisture mapping and temperature/humidity readings.
    •    Documentation: Utilize company software/tablets to document job details, photos, and moisture levels.
    •    Customer Interaction: Professionally communicate job details, procedures, and timelines to homeowners and insurance adjusters.
    •    Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain clean company vehicles and equipment. 
Qualifications
    •    Certifications: Minimum IICRC WRT (Water Restoration Technician) required; ASD (Applied Structural Drying) preferred.
    •    Experience: 1-2+ years in water mitigation or restoration.
    •    Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50-80+ lbs and work in confined spaces like attics or crawl spaces.
    •    Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    •    Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and technical proficiency with mobile devices.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform water extraction and drying services for residential and commercial properties.
  • Conduct fire damage restoration, including soot and smoke removal.
  • Demolition Services
  • Assess damage and develop restoration plans in collaboration with team members.
  • Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to restore properties to pre-loss condition.
  • Document and report on restoration processes and progress to clients and management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to industry standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in restoration or construction is a plus.
  • Previous experience in water and fire damage restoration preferred.
  • Knowledge of restoration techniques and equipment is essential.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy objects.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
